Psychological drama ‘The Serial Killer’s Wife’ in the works at Paramount

Paramount+ is set to produce a captivating British TV drama that revolves around the arrest of an apparently innocent husband for the murder of his former assistant.

Titled ‘The Serial Killer’s Wife,’ the series will feature esteemed actors Annabel Scholey, Jack Farthing, and Luke Treadaway. The story takes place in a picturesque English town where Beth Fairchild (Scholey: The Split) meticulously organizes a surprise birthday party for her husband, Tom (Farthing: Rain Dogs).

However, the celebratory atmosphere is shattered when the police abruptly interrupt the gathering and apprehend Tom on murder charges. Despite Beth’s unshakeable belief in her husband’s innocence, she uncovers shocking revelations that cast doubt on his integrity. She confides in Adam (Treadaway), Tom’s lifelong best friend, as her concerns intensify.

‘The Serial Killer’s Wife’ is a joint endeavor between Clapperboard Studios and BlackBox Multimedia. Andy Morgan and Mike Benson (Clapperboard) serve as executive producers, alongside Chiara Cardoso and Giuliano Papadia (BlackBox Multimedia). Laura Way directs the series, with Jonathan Phillips as the producer. Suzanne Cowie and Ben Morris contribute as writers.

Simultaneously, Paramount+ has commenced filming for ‘The Signal,’ a psychological drama and one of the initial projects stemming from its partnership with Gaumont.
