NEET UG 2024 Revised Results

The National Testing Agency (NTA) is expected to issue the National Eligibility Cum Entrance Test Undergraduate (NEET UG) 2024 counselling schedule and revised results soon. The updated NEET UG 2024 results are anticipated to be released this week. Dharmendra Pradhan, Union Education Minister, hailed the ruling of the Supreme Court not to cancel the NEET UG examinations, stressing that the truth would always prevail. He also went on to say that the NEET UG 2024 final results would be made public by the National Testing Agency in two days i.e. by today, July 25.

The NEET UG results are being revised in accordance with the Supreme Court’s judgement on one Physics question, resulting in the elimination of 44 students from the NEET 2024 toppers list. These students benefited from the bonus marks for the Physics question, for which two responses were declared correct by NTA.As a result, the NEET 2024 merit list will be amended, with the number of toppers reduced from 61 to 17. The Supreme Court ruled that 44 applicants’ scores be changed to 715 out of 720. These 44 will now be ranked after the other 70 students, who received 716 points out of 720.

During the July 23 final hearing, the CJI dismissed the petitions submitted by students seeking cancellation and re-test of the NEET UG examinations, concluding that there was insufficient evidence of a large-scale leak of the NEET UG question papers, which may lead to the conclusion that the exam was vitiated, resulting in a systematic breach of the exam’s integrity.

NEET UG 2024 Counselling Schedule

After the revised results are revealed, the Medical Counselling Committee (MCC) will promptly announce the NEET UG 2024 counselling dates. The NEET all-India common merit list will be used to determine admissions to prestigious medical schools like AIIMS, JIPMER, as well as other government and private medical colleges across India.

According to the NEET results announced on June 4, this year’s cut-off for general and general-PH category applicants went up from 720-137 to 720-164.
