Goa: Case Registered Against Teacher for ‘Molesting’ Students

The teacher was accused of asking girl students for phone numbers, making lewd gestures, and touching them inappropriately

A case was registered in North Goa district on Wednesday against a male teacher for allegedly molesting girl students, police said.

No arrest has been made yet in the case, said Deputy Superintendent of Police Jivba Dalvi.

The case was registered at Mapusa police station against the teacher under the stringent Protection of Children from Sexual Offences Act and Goa Children’s Act, he said.

The teacher was accused of asking girl students for phone numbers, making lewd gestures, and touching them inappropriately, he said, adding that further probe was on.
