The upcoming Grammy Awards ceremony will take place at the Crypto.com Arena in downtown Los Angeles on Sunday, February 4, 2024, starting at 5 p.m. PT.
CBS and the Recording Academy made the announcement, stating that the event will be televised on the CBS Television Network and available for live streaming on Paramount+. The nominations for this year’s Grammy Awards will be unveiled on November 10.
In June, the Recording Academy made updates to its rules and guidelines during a board of trustees meeting. The changes included the addition of three new categories: best African music performance, best alternative jazz album, and best pop dance recording.
Furthermore, the number of nominees in the top four categories—album of the year, song of the year, record of the year, and best new artist—was reduced from ten to eight, reversing the expansion that occurred in 2021. Additionally, a new rule was introduced to specify that Grammy awards are only eligible for human creators, excluding AI.
