Buckingham Palace updates royal website to reflect Archie and Lilibet’s new titles

Buckingham Palace has updated the royal family’s website to reflect the Duke and Duchess of Sussex’s children’s new titles of Prince and Princess.

Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s children, who are sixth and seventh in line to the throne respectively, are now named Prince Archie of Sussex and Princess Lilibet of Sussex on the site.

Prince Harry has shared some of his parenting strategies when raising his children and how he responds during their “outbursts”.

During a live-streamed conversation about personal healing with author Dr Gabor Maté, the Duke of Sussex spoke about his four-year-old son, Archie, and one-year-old daughter, Lilibet, whom he shares with wife Meghan Markle.

During the Q&A portion of the event, one event guest asked for advice on how to raise children to be “kind, emphatic, and humble humans”. In response, Harry said how important it is for children to feel “love” and be given the opportunity to “be themselves”.

He also said that children should be given “rules” to follow and shared how he and Meghan respond to their children when they’re frustrated about something.

Prince Harry reflected on his marriage with Meghan Markle and explained how she helped him at a time when he felt “stuck”.

“People have said that my wife saved me,” he explained. “I was stuck in this world, and she was from a different world and helped draw me out of that.”

He then spoke about the effort that he’s put in to change and better himself.

Rebel Wilson has described the Duchess of Sussex as “not as cool” or “naturally warm” as her husband, the Duke of Sussex.

Appearing on Andy Cohen’s Watch What Happens Live, Wilson, 43, said she introduced her mother to Prince Harry and Meghan Markle.

“We went up to Santa Barbara, met Harry, he could not have been nicer,” she said.

Cohen asked if she had met the couple before, to which Wilson said: “No, we just had a mutual friend in common, a polo player.”

This part of the ceremony is said to be one of the most sacred of the day’s rituals but will reflect modern anti-animal cruelty sentiments, according to a statement published by Buckingham Palace.

Previous versions of the “holy oil” have included civet oil, from the glands of small mammals, and ambergris from the intestines of whales.

This oil was used at the Coronation of Queen Elizabeth II in 1953 and is based on a formula that has been used for hundreds of years.

The altered formula for the holy oil for King Charles and Queen Consort Camilla’s coronation reflects concerns about animal cruelty and the need to protect wildlife.

King Charles III and the Prince of Wales were reportedly not in attendance at the christening of Meghan Markle and Prince Harry’s daughter, Lilibet Diana.

People reports that the Duke and Duchess of Sussex held a christening for the 21-month-year-old last Friday (3 March) in an intimate ceremony at their home in Montecito, California.

The source reportedly told the publication that Meghan Markle, 41, and Prince Harry, 38, extended an invite to King Charles, Queen Consort Camilla, Prince William and Kate Middleton, but they were “not in attendance”.

Prince Harry and his wife Meghan’s children will officially be referred to as Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet, it has been confirmed.

The confirmation comes after Lilibet was christened “Princess Lilibet Diana” at a ceremony in California on Friday (3 March).

“I can confirm that Princess Lilibet Diana was christened on Friday, 3 March by the Archbishop of Los Angeles, the Rev John Taylor,” a spokesperson for the Duke and Duchess of Sussex told The Mirror.
