Sonam Kapoor, who was last seen in The Zoya Factor in 2019, is all set to make her grand comeback to the silver screen with upcoming film, Blind. The teaser for the thriller was released yesterday, giving fans a glimpse into the world of the visually-impaired protagonist on a quest to apprehend a serial killer. Directed by Shome Makhija, Blind is an adaptation of the critically acclaimed 2011 Korean film of the same name.

In the teaser, we are introduced to Sonam’s character, a visually impaired individual who finds herself in a harrowing situation when she takes a cab driven by a serial killer. As the ride progresses, she becomes aware that someone is being held captive in the trunk. The intensity builds as the police become involved, initiating a manhunt for a kidnapper who has been targeting women in the UK. The teaser concludes with a gripping phone call between Sonam’s character and the kidnapper, where she fearlessly declares she will put an end to this.”

The role of a visually-impaired woman presents a unique challenge for Sonam. But with vulnerability and strength, she convincingly captures the nuances of a person navigating a sightless existence while combating a formidable adversary.

Joining Sonam Kapoor in the cast of Blind are talented actors Purab Kohli, Vinay Pathak, and Lillete Dubey, each bringing their own depth to the narrative. The film has been extensively shot in the picturesque city of Glasgow, Scotland, which adds a distinct flavour to the overall cinematic experience.

After a brief hiatus from the silver screen, Sonam Kapoor’s return with Blind is highly anticipated. The film is scheduled to premiere on July 7, exclusively on JioCinema.
